Testing Methodology
How OnlineProxy reviews browser proxy behavior, compatibility limits, performance observations, privacy boundaries, and content accuracy.
Testing Methodology
OnlineProxy content should describe proxy behavior with clear scope and reproducible observations. This page explains how we evaluate the service and related guides.
What We Test
For browser proxy behavior, we review:
- Whether a public page loads through the proxy session
- Whether same-page links remain within the proxy path
- Whether images, scripts, and styles load
- Whether media pages fail because of DRM, licensing, or platform checks
- Whether login or account pages require additional verification
- Whether error states explain practical next steps
What We Do Not Claim
Testing one page does not prove that a whole platform works. Proxy compatibility can change quickly when destination sites update scripts, security rules, or CDN behavior.
We avoid turning a small test into a broad promise. A result should be treated as an observation under specific conditions, not a permanent guarantee.
Performance Notes
Proxy performance can vary based on:
- User network quality
- Destination server response time
- Proxy load
- Geographic distance
- Media size
- Anti-bot or rate-limit systems
For that reason, OnlineProxy should not publish universal speed claims such as "zero latency" or guaranteed streaming quality.
Privacy Review
Privacy review focuses on:
- Whether pages discourage sensitive data entry through the proxy
- Whether content explains proxy vs VPN scope
- Whether analytics and advertising disclosures are present where needed
- Whether contact paths exist for privacy, abuse, and correction requests
Content Review
Before publishing or updating a guide, we check:
- The page has a clear purpose
- Steps match the current interface
- Limitations are visible
- Claims are specific and not exaggerated
- Related policy and safety notes are included where relevant
Reporting Issues
Send corrections, reproducible failures, or security concerns to support@onlineproxy.org. Include the page URL, approximate time, browser, operating system, and a short description of the issue.
